Electronic Serial Numbers to Be Exhausted in Early 2008
TIA acts as the Administrator for Electronic Serial Numbers (ESNs) used as unique identifiers in cellular mobile sets (CDMA, TDMA/AMPS). On Tuesday, May 6, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet held a hearing on HR 5353, the Internet Freedom Preservation Act of 2008, authored by Subcommittee Chairman Ed Markey (D-Mass.) and Rep.
